Clay A. Kuhns
Clay A. Kuhns is the Assistant Clark County Attorney. He joined the office in July 2014, shortly after he passed the Kansas bar.
Clay grew up in Meade, Kansas. Following high school graduation, he attended Butler County Community College on a football scholarship, and then transferred to Fort Hays State University, where he graduated with a degree in political science.
Following college graduation, Clay attended the Washburn University School of Law, where he participated in the two-year accelerated degree program.
Jessica McPhail is the county paralegal. She joined the office in July 2014.
Jessica graduated from Ashland High School. She then studied briefly at Dodge City Community College before moving to New York City, where she attended and ultimately graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Liz Hensley, or Miss Liz as she is known in Ashland, joined the Clark County Attorney’s Office in September 2014. She is the county traffic clerk and diversion officer. If you call the office about a traffic ticket, it will be Liz’s friendly voice you hear on the other end of the line.
